Winter

So today is crazy, the snow is blanketing the ground and the kids are excited to have the day off.  Jeremy just called me and said his car is not wanting to accelerate.  I hope he does not get stuck!

Sunday in church, we had a guest speaker by the name of Phillip Yancy.  He spoke about the different seasons of life.  He talked about how during the winter the trees look dead but actually they are growing during the cold months.  Their roots are growing underneath the ground and they are being strengthened as each day passes.

This is similar to how we grow the most during the winter season in our lives.  When we are struggling with a child or facing a difficult situation that feels hopeless, those are the times when we are growing in the Lord.  Our roots are being shaped and we become stronger as we press into the one who designed us so magnificently.

Today, Pray longer, Trust deeper and Walk with a confidence because He will never leave your side.

Jeremiah 29:11

“I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
